SECRET SISTERS will meet Saturday evening at 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall.  Please bring soup or sandwiches.

OCTOBER 10TH will be the second Sunday and instead of having an all church meal it will be a meal for all the dear people who are 50 and older (the 39ers).  Rick and Peggy Davidson are heading up this effort.  There will not be a 5:30 PM service.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT MEAL will be at 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall.  The menu will be Chicken Teriyaki.

CHURCH OF CHRIST WEEKEND is October 9-10th at Silver Dollar City.  If you would like to stay at the King Quarter’s Inn in Branson, we have a group rate of $35 plus tax per night.  Call 1-800-507-5464 and tell them you are with “Central Church of Christ in West Plains.”  They will keep a block of rooms for us but you must make reservations in advance to get the rate.  We can get this rate for Friday, October 8th & Saturday, October 9th.

LADIES’ DAY at Thayer Church of Christ will be Saturday beginning at 9:00 AM.  Lunch will be served after the program.  There is a signup sheet on the back table if you wish to attend or see Delores Baker.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE - It is a must that we have some good young drivers for the buses.  If you are age 30-60, please see Matt Chezem or call the church office at 255-0033 or 256-8551.

FOOD LABELS - Please remember to save your Best Choice and Campbell’s product labels with the UPC code and place them in the box located in the kitchen.  Linda Deatherage sends these to the Children’s Homes in Paragould and they are redeemed for needed items.  Latest item was a refrigerator purchased with Best Choice UPC labels.  See the article on the board in the foyer and remember….SAVE THOSE LABELS.

FOOD PANTRY - Always check the food labels for the expiration date.  The children’s home will not accept outdated food.  Thank you!   Items needed are Cereal, Instant Oatmeal, Jell-O, Pop Tarts.

THRIFT STORE TRUCK will be here Tuesday to pick up items in the storage shed.

NEEDED-Someone to cut brush along the fence row so the sign can be better read.  Who will do this?  See the preacher.

GOSPEL MEETINGS…                                                                         
...Salem. AR with David Gibson is scheduled for October 10-13 with each evening beginning at 7:00 PM.
...Crider, MO with different speakers is scheduled for September 26-29.  There is a flyer posted in the foyer with times.

          It costs to follow Jesus, but it costs more not to.
